  1734 Kemptown Road, Kemptown
 

Coming from Truro - Halifax on route 102, take the Onslow exit 14A just after the Truro exit. Take a right at the top of the off ramp and drive east 3.7 km. to flashing lights (Marshall's Corner) and go left on highway 311. Drive 26.0 km to Earltown (Note signs for Sugar Moon Farm and Rogart Mountain Trail) to where the Kemptown Road comes in on the right side of the highway. Turn right onto the Kemptown Road and drive 3.8 km. The Gully Lake Wilderness Area Trail head will be on your left and has lots of cautionary signs about the use of the trail.

Coming from Halifax take route 102 to 104 east and take the Kemptown exit 18. Take a left at the top of the ramp and drive 0.9 km to route 4. At route 4 east, take a right drive 2.9 km until you reach "Loop Old HWY 4" and take a left. Drive 1 km through Kemptown, to the "Kemptown Road" and take a left. Drive 8.7 km on the Kemptown Road. The Gully Lake Wilderness Area Trail head will be on your right and has lots of cautionary signs about the use of the trail.

Coming from New Glasgow / Salt Springs, off the 104, take exit 18A. After a short drive over to old 4, take route 4 west (left) (There is a large beautiful sign.) Go 2.3 km on that road and turn right onto "Loop Old HWY 4". 1.6 km up that road, take a right onto the Kemptown Road towards Earltown. Drive 8.7 km on the Kemptown Road. The Gully Lake Wilderness Area Trail head will be on your right and has lots of cautionary signs about the use of the trail.

Coming from Halifax - Truro on route 102, take the Onslow exit 14A just after the Truro exit. Take a right at the top of the off ramp and drive east 3.7 km. to flashing lights (Marshall's Corner) and go left on highway 311. Drive 26.3 km to the trail head in Earltown on the right side of the highway. There are two entry posts on the highway with a red arrow and two hiker silhouettes sign. One can park at the ends of either the gravel Kemptown Road on your right or the gravel Alex MacDonald Road on your left.

Coming from New Glasgow / Salt Springs, off the 104, take exit 18A. After a short drive over to old 4, take route 4 west (left) (There is a large beautiful sign.) Go 2.3 km on that road and turn right onto "Loop Old HWY 4". 1.6 km up that road, take a right onto the Kemptown Road. That road will tee in Earltown 12.3 kilometers from its origin in Kemptown. Take a right on highway 311 in the Tatamagouche direction and drive .3 km to the trail head on the right side of the highway. One can park at the ends of either the gravel Kemptown Road on your right or the gravel Alex MacDonald Road on your left. There are two entry posts on the highway with a red arrow and two hiker silhouettes sign.

   
Directions to Juniper Head Trail:
  737 Glen Road, Dalhousie, Pictou County
 

Coming from Truro, Halifax, Amherst, and New Glasgow: Take route 104 to the Mount Thom exit 18A. Cross over to route 4 and take a right (Rt. 4 East). Drive 5.4 km to Glen Road and take left onto Glen Road. Drive 3.7 km north (1 km beyond the Bezanson Cem.) to Juniper Head Trail. (If you see the Van der Veen Road, you have driven 0.2 km too far.)

Coming from Pictou, Scotsburn, River John, and Tatamagouche: Take route 256 to West Branch and turn onto the Loganville Road. Drive 3.4 km and turn right onto Marshall Road. Drive 8.6 km to Juniper Head Trail (It is across from the Dalhousie Wind Farm, beyond a blueberry field, and 0.2 km beyond Van der Veen Road.)

  225 Alex MacDonald Road, Earltown

Drive 26.1 km (Note signs for Sugar Moon Farm and Rogart Mountain Trail.) to Alex MacDonald Road in Earltown. Turn left onto Alex MacDonald Road and drive to Sugar Moon Farm and the Rogart Mountain Trail Head.
