Title: Snowshoe Hike in Gully Lake Wilderness
Summary: Please join Cobequid Eco-Trails Society for a snowshoe hike on Saturday, February 20 in Gully Lake Wilderness. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Time: Hike starts about 10:00 AM
Location: Meet at the kiosk at1734 Kemptown Road
Details: The PLAN is to do Yellow Birch to Portage to some part of Sandy Cope trails. We will do 5 to 7 km depending on if the trails have been tracked in and/or how deep the snow is. This route includes some hill climbs. All these trails are single track with some rough footing underneath due to rocks and roots. We will not be going fast as our leader is a slowpoke! With our current snow conditions and the currently predicted accumulation on Tuesday, this is not a trip that is suitable for rank beginners. Some experience with your equipment and good conditioning is required. Please bring an extra layer of clothing, water and a snack. Bring poles if you wish and gaiters if you have them. Please bring a mask to wear while we are standing around at the kiosk. Masks will not be required while hiking. NO COTTON CLOTHING! To reserve a spot, please send an email to Ginny Guthrie at Also, use that email if you have any questions. See you on the trail!
